ICTSI Ensenada Cruise Port Development Strategy and Planning

Lambert Advisory developed a market and financial assessment associated with a master plan for a new $25 million dollar cruise facility at the Port of Ensenada, the second busiest cruise port in Mexico and the fifth most trafficked on the west coast of North America.

PROJECT SUMMARY

Ensenada is an important cruise destination on the Pacific coast of Mexico, given its proximity to Los Angeles and San Diego and because it was the only Port which could accommodate 3-4 cruises out of the two cities. The challenge in Ensenada was the lack of capacity to accommodate all of the demand.

Lambert Advisory developed a market and financial assessment associated with a master plan for a new $25 million cruise facility at the Port of Ensenada, the second busiest cruise port in Mexico with the fifth highest traffic on the west coast of North America. Lambert recommended a phased program for the 19-hectare parcel, adjacent to downtown Ensenada, which included a retail village, 200-slip marina, hotel, water park, and residential elements focused around an inner harbor. The development is now fully operational.
